Who We Are
My name is Kaya Gwinn and I decided to start this rescue because of the insane amount of animals that are euthanized every day. Around 10,000 dogs are euthanized every month due to overcrowding. California is currently in a crisis with the sheer amount of animals that are taken in by shelters. So I made it my mission to reduce that number and find dogs that would have otherwise been euthanized, a nice loving home.
The process of rescuing an animal is long and complicated. We depend on fosters and adopters to keep this thing going. There are so many animals facing euthanasia, so the more people we have helping, the more animals we can take in. We travel to areas that are hours and hours away to rescue these animals and rely on generous donations from to public to operate.
So far, we have rescued twenty-three dogs. Now, twenty-three dogs doesn’t sound like a lot unless you look at the dogs as individuals. Each of these dogs will live a happy life now, and as the support for our rescue grows, we hope to keep increasing that number. With your continued support, we can keep rescuing dogs from unnecessary euthanasia.
